Today’s Woman will discuss the status of Iraqi women and will include a phone interview with Ms. Fatemeh Osmani, journalist based in Irbil. Next, discussion will focus on the status of women in Afghanistan with guest Ms. Malika Qanih, chair of the non-governmental organization Educational Training Center for Poor Women and Girls of Afghanistan. Ms. Qanih will join us from the Kabul studio.

News and Views reports on President Obama’s first 100 days in office, and has reactions from inside Iran on his first months in office. And Dr. Javad Aman, an immunologist and virologist, will join NAV to talk about the dangers of Swine Flu as a pandemic. Dr. Mostapha Danesh, Iranian Journalist, an expert on Afghanistan, and Pakistan who has lived among Taleban, will talk about fundamentalism in the Middle East. Ali Afshari, as an ex-student activist, will talk about the implications of the arrests of students with "connection to Mujahedin" by the Iranian government.
