In commemoration of Martin Luther King Day, the Today’s Woman will include excerpts from Barack Obama's speech from the Lincoln Memorial, a package on the Civil Rights Movements, and a pre-recorded interview with Dr. Mehrdad Mashayekhi, professor of sociology at Georgetown University, on the effect of non-violent movements.


News and Views will update on the ceasefire in the Gaza conflict, and an EU summit on the crisis. NaV also discusses the significance of the Martin Luther King holiday in the US. Mr. Cyrus Mehri, Lawyer and founding partner of the law firm Mehri & Skalet, PLLC, will discuss civil rights in America. The broadcast also begins its comprehensive coverage of tomorrow’s inauguration of Barack Obama as President of the United States.
