I have just read and signed the online petition: "Free Dr. Dariush Zahedi" hosted on the web by PetitionOnline.com, the free online petition service, at: http://www.PetitionOnline.com/freedrdz/
Dariush Zahedi has been teaching at the University of California, Berkley. He is the author of a book and several articles on Iran. He visited family in Iran regularly without any trouble. Last summer, he was in Tehran for a family visit. He was arrested in a private meeting with several Iranian intellectuals at a private home in the early July 2003.
Although those intellectuals have been freed and cleared of any charges, Dr. Zahedi has been held without charges ever since. Please consider joining this effort to free Dariush by signing the petition. AND ask your friends to do the same.
