My name is Sara Jahnnejad, a Canadian citizen from Vancouver. My father, Yaser Jahannejad, an Iranian, member of the People’s Mujahedeen, has been injured in recent attacks. According to AFP report, he is still alive in a Baghdad hospital, with bullet wounds.
This has only added to my pain, beyond words. I was only a 5 year old girl when Mujahedeen, in cold blood, separated me from my father. I have not seen my parents for 13 years. My heart aches when I hear the father I love, is struggling for his life in Iraq.
In the past 13 years, I have learned what love is, because if my parents left me for their political beliefs, I learned to forgive them their mistake and love them just the same. I shall never forget them, and I am calling to the world to help them. Maybe with your help I can transfer him to another hospital in another country, where there is enough medicament and care to save him.
In particular, I address to you, Mr. Jalal Talabani, the head of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan. But also to anybody that can help. I am certain that the world’s consciousness will hear the cry of a daughter whose only wish is to hold in her arms her injured father .
