Today’s Woman will focus on the status of women in Pakistan with contributions from our guest Ms. Gisoo Jahangiri, human rights activist based in Paris.

News and Views offers the latest on the status of imprisoned journalist Roxana Saberi. There’s also coverage of the meeting between US president Obama and Israeli President Peres, and well as a report on Secretary of State Hillary Clinton meeting with the wife of Robert Levinson, the former FBI agent who disappeared on Kish Island. Charles Dunbar, a former State Department officer who served as ambassador to Qatar and Yemen will discuss the deteriorating security situation in Pakistan and theresurgence of the Taliban. From inside Iran there’s a discussion about the more than 1000 candidates who have registered to run for president.

Iranian Author Faraj Sarkouhi will join Straight Talk to discuss the issue from Frankfurt, Germany. Journalist Mashallah Shamsovaezeen and publisher Mehdi Khazali will join the discuss as phoners from Iran.
