Today's Women will honor International Women's Day. In part one of a two-part series, it will focus on the history of International Women's Day . Ms. Nayereh Tohidi, Professor and Chair of the Gender Women's Studies Department at California State University Northridge and Ms. Nahid Bahmani, women's rights activist based in London, and Ms. Shakhzoda Nazarova, a journalist based in Amsterdam, will contribute to the discussion.

News & Views will report on the three separate bombings that killed 15 people in northwestern Pakistan; the meetings of Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton with Turkish Prime Minister in Ankara and with Sergei Lavrov, the Russian Foreign Minister, in Geneva; Afghan President Hamid Karzai saying that he would agree to postpone the presidential election until August; Palestinian Prime Minister Salam Fayad tendering his resignation to President Mahmoud Abbas to pave the way for the formation of a Palestinian unity government; Sudan's president defying calls to arrest him for war crimes and defending his decision to expel aid groups.

48 Hours will interview Prof. Fariba Adelkhah, an anthropologist based in Paris and renowned Iranian poet Simin Behbahani from Tehran on the quest of Iranian women for equality on the occasion of International Women's Day.

Late Edition's top story is Secretary of State Clinton's visit to Brussels to meet European officials and a feature on Juliette Binoche on her dance collaboration with Britain choreographer Akram Khan.

Newstalk will cover Iran's top news stories in the past week including a U.S. invitation to Iran to attend a high-level conference on Afghanistan; Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's remark on Iran; rupture of diplomatic relations between Morocco and Iran over Bahrain and the International Criminal Court's arrest warrant for the president of Sudan. In another segment, the latest developments on Iran's human rights situation will be discussed.
