News and Views updates a high-level delegation from Hamas in Tehran for talks with senior Iranian government officials on the Israeli offensive on Gaza. Salameh Nemat ,a Jordanian Journalist who has just returned from Middle East, will join the broadcast to discuss President Obama recent initiatives in the Middle East, the development of Gaza, and the prospect of lasting peace in the Middle East. There’s also coverage of Iran News out of the Davos Economic Forum, and a discussion with Shirin Ebadi in Washington DC.

Mr. Mehdi Khalaji, Middle East and Shiite Islam Analyst for Washington Institute for Near Eastern Studies will join Roundtable to discuss the modern system of Shiite thought, and the beliefs of modern practices as well as the clergy who advocate those.

Late Edition updates on the elections in Iraq. There’s also a wrap up of the Superbowl, comics in the Paris’ Louvre museum, an Iranian American fashion photographer, and a review of the Director’s Guild Awards for film.
