Today’s Woman will discuss child abuse with phoner guest Ms. Pardis Kamkar, sociologist and child abuse specialist from inside Iran. The show will also feature a two-part pre-recored interview with lawyer Mr. Mohammed Sharif from Iran who represents imprisoned activist Hanna Abdi.

News and Views reports on the situation in Gaza with updates from the UN and the latest on humanitarian aid to the area. We’ll also cover Hillary Clinton’s Sec of State confirmation where she spoke at length about Iran. Professor Nostratollah Vahedi, an Iranian born nuclear physicist, will join the broadcast to discuss various efforts to disrupt Iran’s nuclear program. Additionally human rights activist Elahae Hicks joins to discuss Human Rights Watch’s annual report.
From inside Iran there’s an interview with student activist Amir Hossein Fotohi who says that he was suspended due to his interviews with VOA. Also there’s an interview with the attorney of an Iranian Kurdish activist who was sentenced to 20 years in prison.

Today’s Roundtable is dedicated to viewer participation.

Late Edition reports on Senator Hillary Clinton’s confirmation for Secretary of State. There’s also a live interview with Iranian/Israeli singer, song writer, and musician Hanna Jahanforooz, a story about a man who makes diamonds out of Tequila, a Hong Kong fashion show, and review of Broadway shows during from the economic downturn.
