Today’s Womanwill begin with coverage of current events, acknowledging Nancy Pelosi's recent book "Know Your Power: A Message to America's Daughters" followed by a report from the Iranian Studies Foundation Conference from Toronto. The next segment will include an interview with our guest Nima Behnoud, fashion designer based in New York. Areas of discussion will include the importance and significance of fashion design and the relationship of Nima's designs with non-Iranians.

: Israeli right-wing opposition leader Binyamin Netanyahu has called for snap elections, after Prime Minister Ehud Olmert announced he would stand down. Mr Olmert announced on Wednesday that he would not stand in a leadership race for his Kadima Party set for September. We will have analysis from Israeli journalist Meneche Amir. We are also efforting an interview with an Iranian Arab expert on the larger issues of how a power shift in Israel impacts relations with Iran.
We will also wrap the story of the German/Iran gas deal story into this. We are efforting an interview with a rep from the Simon Wiesenthal Center to comment. The Jewish human rights group said German Chancellor Merkel should interview to stop the deal.
