News and Views will have continuing coverage of the AIPAC conference in Washington, DC. McCain and others spoke Monday. McCain charged that Senator Barack Obama’s policies toward Iraq and Iran would create chaos and endanger the United States and Israel. A 2nd package focuses on two panel discussions in which Congressman Brad Sherman and others participated, on Iran NaV advances its coverage of the UN Summit on rising food prices in Italy: The leaders of Zimbabwe and Iran were excluded from the opening dinner at a UN summit. Neither Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe or Mahmoud Ahmadinejad were invited. Our Rome stringer will report live on the phone to give background and analysis on the story. Iran on Tuesday commemorated the 19th anniversary of the death of Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, founder of the Islamic republic, at a ceremony in the Khomeini Mausoleum in southern Tehran. We have Hassan Shariat-Madari, the son of the grand ayatollah Kazem Shariatmadari, to comment on the anniversary, as well as the Parliament and Iran’s economy.

Roundtable features Iran's soccer team and the World Cup. The guest is Mr. Ali Sarshar, sports writer and commentator.

Late Edition features reporting from the AIPAC conference in Washington DC. There will be a story on the “weird” city of Austin, Texas, student activists in American campaigns, and a piece on computer crime.

Newstalk features a discussion of 100 years of oil, and the industry’s current problems, in Iran. Guests are Nasser Mohamadi, live from London and Rob Sobhani, head of Caspian Energy, in the DC studio.
