Today's Woman will begin with the coverage of the 60th anniversary of Israel, the show will discuss influential Israeli women. The next segment will discuss the outcome of the Majles elections and the future for women in Iran with our guest Ms. Davoodi Mohajer, women's rights activist. The last segment will focus on Ms. Mohajer's participation in a conference concerning democracy and human rights.

News and Views will have a live interview with Dr. Jeffrey Lewis, Director of Nuclear Strategy and Non Proliferation Initiative at the New America Foundation, who will disucss Iran's nuclear program--peaceful energy program or weapons of mass destruction. Ali Jawanmardi will report live from Irbil on the Iranian role in the theft of oil from Iraq. NAV will also feature two packages on the 60th anniversary of Israel

Roundtable with You will feature an interview the historian Dr. Nasser Einghetaa about the discovery of a new city in the Shush region of Iran.

Late Edition's top stories take a look at the 60th anniversary of Israel. One report looks at Israelis confidence about their future thanks to better security, but long term peace is elusive. The other report looks at Palestinian refugees and others in the surrounding Arab countries, for whom the anniversary of Israel's founding is an annual reminder of the homes they lost many years ago. Dr. Vahid Behravan will discuss a new CDC study linking obesity to too much or too little sleep. Late Edition interviews Abbas Maroufi in Berlin, Germany. He is a writer and literature critic who lives in exile and he will discuss "Tehran Book festival" and the cultural censorship by the Islamic regime.

Newstalk will feature its weekly journalist roundtable with Ahmad Rafat reporting from Rome, Robert Chahid reporting from Paris. The journalists will discuss the latest news about Iran's involvement in Iraq; the 60th anniversary of Israel; the Russian delegation in Iraqi Kurdistan and the anniversary of the end of World War II.
