The following segment deals with peaceful movements of mothers to release political prisoners, focusing on mothers in Cuba. The last segment presents the different criteria for marriage around the world.

News and Views will feature analysis of reports that the Iraqi prime minister has sent a delegation of senior officials to confront Iran over claims it is arming and financing Shia fighters in Iraq. Five Shia politicians left yesterday with "evidence, confessions and pictures" indicating that Iran was supplying weapons and training fighters. CIA Director Michael Hayden said Wednesday that Iranian policy, at the highest government level, is to help kill Americans in Iraq, the boldest pronouncement of Iranian involvement by a U.S. official to date: "It is my opinion, it is the policy of the Iranian government, approved to highest level of that government, to facilitate the killing of Americans in Iraq," Hayden said. Iran complained to the UN about U.S. presidential candidate Hillary Clinton's comment the US could "totally obliterate" Iran in retaliation for a nuclear strike against Israel. Iran's deputy ambassador to the U N sent a letter to UN expressing Iran's condemnation of "such a provocative, unwarranted and irresponsible statement." Our UN correspondent will have analyses of these reports.

Roundtable will host Dr. Mehrangiz Rasapour, author, poet, and human rights activist in London. She will come to us live via London and the topic is human rights in Iran, as well as the role of women in today's poetry and Iranian literature.

Late Edition has an in depth discussion of yesterday’s State Department report on terrorism. The report concludes that Iran once again is the world's "most-active" state sponsor of terrorism.

Newstalk features a discussion with PNN journalists. Ali Saajadi joins Mr. Charlangi on set. Ahmed Rafat will be live on camera from Rome and Mohamed Reza Shahid will be live on camera from Paris.
