News & Views: We lead the broadcast with the crisis in the Palestinian territories. Israel closed Gaza's borders last Thursday in response to rocket attacks by Gaza-based militants. With fuel supplies hit drastically by the blockade, Gaza's only power plant was shut down on Sunday night leaving most the residents without power. State Department reaction. We will also have a comprehensive package on the life and legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. From inside Iran we have an interview with the brother of a student who died in a prison in Kurdistan. Authorities say he committed suicide, but the family has consulted with a human right's organization to determine the cause of death.

Roundtable explores the legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. with nonviolent resistance scholar Dr. Gene Sharp. Dr. Sharp has written several books on nonviolent resistance and power. He is also the founder of the Einstein Institution, dedicated to the "defense of freedom, democracy, and the reduction of political violence through the use of nonviolent action."
