News and Views updates on the situation in Gaza with a live report regarding the UN’s diplomatic efforts. Dr. Ali Granmayeh, Former Iranian Diplomat and currently managing global research at MIT's Enterprise Center in London will join to discuss the situation. There’s also coverage of President Bush’s final White House press conference. NaV discusses Freedom House’s new world freedom survey, which ranks countries on their political freedoms.
From inside Iran there’s an interview regarding reports that more Shiraz University students have been arrested. The students say they will start a hunger strike.

Mr. Ali Afshari will join Roundtable to discuss the recent closure of an Iranian newspaper who had published an article by the Office for Strengthening and Fostering Unity (an Iranian student organization), criticizing Hamas for the recent Gaza rage between it and Israeli Forces.

Late Edition updates on national security issues facing the Obama administration. There’s also a story about Taxis in Cuba, Comics in the UK, a book about wisdom, an orchrestra of Palestinian and Israeli members, and a preview of the film Waltz with Bashir.
