Gabrielle Giffords, D-Ariz., proposed the measure and say a broad and permanent ban on the Pentagon's sale of F-14 components is needed to ensure sensitive items do not get out. Iran's judiciary said on Tuesday it has sentenced 54 members of the Bahai religious community, whose faith is banned in the Islamic republic, for anti-regime propaganda.
